In the lands of Anatolia, motifs—one of the powerful storytelling tools of its people—can be found in kilims, cemeteries, and many other places. These motifs have become intertwined with the Anatolian people, turning into elements of imagination that have survived to the present day. Journey of Motifs aims to present the story of Anatolian motifs to visitors through a digital and interactive narrative. Each motif placed on the table comes to life before the visitors’ eyes and tells its own unique story.

While exploring the symbolism behind each motif and the deep cultural fabric of Anatolia, Journey of Motifs offers the chance to experience Anatolia’s colorful and magical world through particle simulations from a digital perspective. The installation consists of three stages: Choose a motif, place it on the table, and watch the real-time digital experience unfold.
